Kalanithi beautifully encapsulates the duty of end of life doulas and others in death care in this quote, which is one of my favorites. I highly recommend this book for anyone, but especially for those who know and love someone who has been diagnosed with a life-limiting condition. It is such a beautiful look inside the life of a person searching to define what make us human and how we define life.
